The ISP Experience

The Integrated Studies Program (ISP) is the first-year curriculum for Benjamin Franklin Scholars pursuing degrees in the College of Arts and Sciences.
ISP classes include two course units in Fall and two in Spring. Since these courses fulfill 3 of the 7 general education requirements in the College, as an ISP student you will be well positioned to launch into any course of study by your sophomore year.
Your training will begin with a challenging curriculum molded by theoretical and methodological approaches that broaden your horizons, encourage the crossing of intellectual boundaries and the integration of diverse ways of knowing. Additionally, you will be bolstered by the camaraderie of your fellow ISP cohort, living together in Hill House, as you work your way through Penn and beyond. Please click on the links to the left to discover more details about what being in ISP is like.  To see testimonials click on the individual and alumni student links here and here.
