I am a member of the Class of 2024 in the College of Arts and Science who is currently majoring in International Relations and minoring in French. Outside of class, I write for the Penn Epistle, am an editor for the Sigma Iota Rho Journal of International Relations, and am involved in Full Measure acapella.

ISP gave me the opportunity to explore courses in subjects I wouldn't normally consider or fit into my schedule, and it challenged me to think critically and thread together the most seemingly unrelated works, thinkers, and ideas. Beyond being the leading experts in their field, the professors in ISP are involved and interested in your potential, and I gained a lot from simply listening to their lectures and the way they bounced off of each other's ideas. The peers I was surrounded with in ISP were equally as valuable, not only for the lively discussions they provided during class but also for the social connections we developed after spending so much time together. My current roommate was in ISP with me, and a lot of my friends are in the BFS classes I'm taking now, which adds a personal touch to what is often a daunting college experience. Even though ISP is only a year long, the access to a wide range of BFS seminars opens a lot of interesting doors throughout your next three years. Two of my current classes are BFS seminars, and while one is useful to my major, the other is a legal studies course that directly ties into what I wish to pursue after college. I'll always be thankful that ISP provided me with the opportunity to not only take classes in a vast array of subjects, but also to learn from equally as passionate individuals who adore learning and talking into the late hours of night.
