Leo Solga

Salutations! My name is Leo Solga, and I am a member of the Class of 2026. I am studying political science and statistics with an interest in Spanish and Portuguese. I am from just outside of Philadelphia, Lower Merion, PA, to be precise. On the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Undergraduate Advisory Board, I serve as a committee member of the Arts and Culture Committee. Outside of the BFS UAB, I am a Perry World House Fellow and a member of the Undergraduate Assembly.

Although it was a lot of reading, I had a grand old time in ISP as a first-year. I found a community of passionate scholars, many of whom became some of my best friends. Coming to Penn, unsure of what I wanted to study, ISP gave me an excellent opportunity to explore fields I wouldn't have otherwise considered.

As a final note, I am a huge supporter of Hill House. Although I am biased as a current Hill RA, I believe the residential aspect of BFS was one of the best parts of the program. Having the same classes as my neighbors provided a fantastic avenue to get to know each other inside and outside of the classroom.
