I'm a junior, Classics major, and alumnus of the Integrated Studies Program. As of this year, I'm also involved in the Penn Humanities Forum and University Scholars; extra-academically, student theater, the Philomathean Society, and the Student Activities Council. I credit ISP with my jumping-off point at Penn. Few days go by when I don't think about the program in some capacity: the freshman-year experience it provided, the fundamental knowledge I learned, or the disciplinary rigidity we were encouraged to defy. Since then, BFS seminars have been my most challenging and worthwhile courses on campus. And I've found that the people in them (and in ISP) have been some of the hardest-working, engaging deeply in their studies and their communities.
