I am a member of the Class of 2024, studying Economics and Health & Societies with a concentration in Health Care Markets. I was born and raised in South Philly but my heart resides in Cairo, Egypt, I visit whenever I get the chance. At Penn, I'm involved in Penn Student Government, (Class Board, Scholars of Finance), Wharton Undergraduate Health Care Club, MERT, Penn Barbell Club, and the BFS Undergraduate Advisory Board. I still love meeting new people and my favorite extracurricular is sparking conversation.

ISP was easily the best decision I have made at Penn. Enrolling in an entirely virtual freshman year was intimidating from a social and academic standpoint. To be matched with a community of like-minded students that I still keep in touch with today is a blessing I don't take for granted. The coursework is designed to take you out of your comfort zone and it achieves this in ways that last with you forever. History and classics prepared me for the critical thinking and philosophical background that unlocks opportunities and relationships for you at Penn. Religion and social psychology made me question normative expectations and shaped my own career path. The support from ISP's renowned faculty help to create work you cherish and changes your approach with professors at Penn.

I would recommend ISP to any freshman looking for a community from day one. If you feel unconfident or too confident in your applied major, this interdisciplinary program will make that change for the better. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
