I am a sophomore from the small town of Port Perry, Ontario, Canada studying political science and art history, and pursuing the interschool minor with Wharton in legal studies. Participating in ISP was the best decision I have made since joining the Penn Class of 2020! Not only did I meet my best friends at Penn through the program, but I also discovered my absolute love for the history of art from the stream course taught by Professor Gwendolyn Shaw. I instantly loved it and have since decided to pursue a major in art history. The interdisciplinary ways of thinking that ISP taught me have been so important in my college journey and I find myself constantly integrating and making connections between my various classes in political science, art history, and legal studies. The kind of liberal arts education that ISP offers is exactly why I wanted to come to school in the United States. ISP absolutely was a highlight of my freshman year and I loved the program so much that I now serve as a member of the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Undergraduate Advisory Board. I am also actively involved with the Penn Government & Politics Association and work at the Penn Law School, and in my free time I love to visit the amazing museums located right here in Philadelphia. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about my Penn experience, my majors, ISP or BFS!
