Collin Schneider

Hi, I’m Collin! I’m in the College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2026 studying Political Science with an IR concentration. I’m particularly interested in conflict and security studies, especially in Africa, and conduct undergraduate research in that field. I am a Vice President for Arts and Culture on the BFS undergraduate advisory board. Outside of BFS I am a 2024 College House Research Fellow, sit on the International Relations Undergraduate Student Association board, and am involved in Curling and Club Swim.

My ISP experience was characterized by growth in areas I ordinarily wouldn’t have been able to explore, and strengthened my ability to bring an interdisciplinary approach to my area of study. The ISP faculty and staff have been important mentors in my post-ISP career, and have helped build my confidence in taking rigorous writing-intensive coursework that my major demands. The students I connected with during ISP, especially living close to many of them due to ISP’s residential living program, remain some of my closest friends.

I cannot recommend enough the ISP experience, both for students who are still building their path forward but also for those who are already sure of their area of study- I feel I am a strong, well-rounded student today because of it.
